This kitchen gained breathing room, storage and greater function by integrating underused spaces into the whole. Incorporating a butler's pantry and mudroom allowed room for a refrigerator and pantry wall opposite the sink and stove, as well as a desk, bench seat, and dining nook at the far end. The configuration now accommodates the homeowners' inviting style of casual entertaining, while the "sea glass" palette reflects a love of place.
