In this open-floor plan kitchen, a facelift elevated not only the room itself but all those that adjoined it. For a streamlined, modern look, we used white flat-panel cabinetry with minimalist hardware and a high-contrast, black CaesarStone countertop. A backsplash of textured ceramic tile in a metallic finish enlivens the whole. Under-cabinet lighting and contemporary light fixtures highlight the sophisticated look, as do the sleek appliances, including a range with downdraft inset into the island countertop.
