The owners of this 1908 craftsman home desired a kitchen that was comparable to the restored grandeur of the remaining spaces in the home. The layout was insufficient, lacking storage, counter-space, and adequate seating.
By relocating the laundry to the back of the nook, and replacing the old laundry with the powder room, we were able to improve functionality and flow. We also reintroduced the idea of a butler’s pantry opposite an eat-in-nook to add a touch of formality and complement the formal dining room. The custom cabinetry throughout the kitchen and nook emanates old-fashioned charm and nearly doubles the storage capacity of the space. Upon completion, the new kitchen and nook were successfully integrated into the historic fabric of the home.
