1910 Irvington Arts & Crafts

As part of this whole house remodel, we did extensive work to the exterior of the home. The aluminum siding was removed from the exterior to reveal the original lap siding. The original siding and trim were repaired or replaced where needed and given a fresh coat of paint. Missing exterior trim was extensive, but new custom molding was milled to match the original details through salvaged pieces and paint shadow outlines. The carpenters replaced all missing details, repaired areas of damage and rot, and prepped for paint.

This project went through a Historic Review process and exemplifies restrained modification to a home while designing to meet the needs of the owners. The historic detailing and materials were uncovered, enhanced, and restored where-ever possible.
