1938 Farmhouse Basement

After dealing with flooding and water damage, the clients wanted a basement that eliminated water issues and fit with the aesthetic of their historic Dutch farmhouse. A simple, efficient layout eliminated small cutoff rooms from the former basement. The new office, guest suite, and laundry area feel bright and airy. Egress windows allow ample natural light into the rooms and eliminate the typical dungeon feel of most basements. Our remodel included creating a new layout which eliminated small cutoff rooms and inefficient storage while making a comfortable and convenient guest suite. The space under the stairs was used for a fun and functional library area.
